When tasked with revamping this 70 sq.mt (755 sq. ft) Juhu Beach apartment, Ikshana Design Studio set out to create a space that felt brighter, more open, and effortlessly stylish. The goal was clear—maximize functionality, bring in plenty of natural light, and make the home feel like an extension of its breezy beachside surroundings.
Bye-Bye Boxy, Hello Flow!
One of the biggest game-changers? Curves! The team swapped out harsh corners for rounded edges in the walls, furniture, and even ceiling corners. The result? A space that flows effortlessly and feels way more expansive. Add in extra windows for sunlight to pour in, and suddenly, this small apartment feels airy and open.
Neutrals, But Make It Interesting
To keep things fresh and modern, the designers went for light-colored flooring and soft wall-ceiling shades—a trick that instantly makes any space feel bigger. But it’s not all minimalist and plain! Warm wooden and brass tones in the furniture add a cozy, welcoming feel, while niche storage areas create stylish yet practical spots to showcase books, artifacts, and other little treasures.
Small Space, Smart Design
Living in a compact apartment means every inch needs to work double duty. That’s why the team integrated smart storage solutions, making sure that even the coziest corners had a purpose. They even carved out a dedicated temple space in the master bedroom and a water purification/storage area in the kitchen—because a home should be as practical as it is pretty!
The Final Look: Beachy, Breezy, and Oh-So-Stylish
The result? A space that feels effortlessly modern yet timeless, thanks to custom wooden and brass furniture, curated wallpapers, and chic upholstery. What was once a small, slightly dated apartment is now a bright, stylish, and ultra-comfy retreat—perfect for enjoying the laid-back beachside lifestyle without leaving home.
