Maison&Objet 2025: What to expect this fall?

Paris is buzzing again. From September 4 to 8, Maison& Objet returns to the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, setting the tone for what’s next in interiors, lifestyle, and design. Twice a year, this fair draws global talent, trend hunters, and tastemakers, and the September edition has always felt a little more electric — it coincides with Paris Design Week, spilling creativity into the city’s streets, galleries, and concept stores.

So what’s making this year’s edition one to watch? Here’s our pick of the highlights.

‘Welcome Home’ by Amelie Pichard.

Welcome Home by Amélie Pichard

Every edition has its showstopper, and this year it’s WELCOME HOME – An Open House, Open to All, conceived by artistic director Amélie Pichard. Located in Hall 6, this isn’t just an installation; it’s a living, breathing space where craft, technology, and imagination merge. At its heart sits a symbolic teapot-house, co-created with ceramicist Blumen and AI, reminding us that design today is as much about storytelling as it is about objects. It sets the mood for the fair: open, curious, and impossible to pin down.

Future On Stage: Meet the Next Generation

For its 6th edition, Future On Stage becomes an annual feature – and it’s one of the fair’s most relatable showcases. This September, three young brands are set to turn heads:

  • Drobe (Oslo) — a suitcase that unfolds into a wardrobe. No more messy unpacking; this modular, eco-conscious luggage is as smart as it is sleek.
  • Yüssée (Paris) — immersive culinary creations blending art, food, and ritual. Think lotus boxes, luminous jellies, and flavors that awaken all five senses.
  • Hilo (Monaco) — tension-based modular shelves that don’t require drilling. A renter’s dream, designed with elegance and adaptability in mind.

These are not just products, but ideas that respond to how we actually live today — and that’s why they resonate.

The Design District, Reimagined

The Design District has always been Maison&Objet’s playground for bold ideas, but this year it feels like a genuine incubator of creative energy. Programs like Future On Stage and the Rising Talent Awards – Germany shine a light on the names we’ll be talking about tomorrow. Add in the Accor Design Awards and the newly structured Factory zones (think emerging Parisian brands, crowdfunding successes, and studios from Paris Design Week), and you’ve got a space that feels alive with fresh energy.

Beyond the Fair: Paris Design Week

And then, of course, there’s the city itself. Running from September 4 to 13, Paris Design Week takes the energy of Maison&Objet and spreads it across the capital. Installations, exhibitions, open studios, and late-night events turn Paris into one giant gallery. It’s the perfect companion to the fair; a way to experience design not just as trade, but as culture.
