This June, Mumbai is about to witness a design revolution – A living, breathing moodboard of where Indian design is headed next.
Set against the iconic backdrop of Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai and taking place on the 27th, 28th, and 29th of June this year is Design POV – a pulse check on the future of Indian design, wrapped in bold thinking, layered perspectives, and a curated blend of culture, creativity, and commerce. Powered by Tabu and Elite Building Materials (EBM) and with Birla
Opus Paints as their Design Partner, the interior design show is pushing the boundaries of the traditional exhibition format.
At the Heart of It All: The Core
At the epicentre of Design POV lies a ground-breaking concept – The Core. An expansive, 800 sq. ft. blank canvas (allotted to each) that becomes the playground for 19 of India’s leading architect and designer firms. Their challenge? To interpret a singular theme – Echoes of Tomorrow – in collaboration with India’s finest luxury furniture and material brands. The result: a
multidimensional homage to the future, rooted in the wisdom and texture of the past.
The line-up reads like the who’s who of Indian design: Atrey Associates (Arun Sharma), Cityspace 82 Architects (Sumit Dhawan), Design Doodle (Maha K & Vijay Kumar), Design Studio (Ameet Mirpuri), Gayathri and Namith Architects (Gayathri Shetty & Namith Varma), Hiren Patel Architects (Hiren Patel), Mancini Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. (Bharath Ram Krishnamurthy), Purple Backyard (Kumpal Vaid), Quirk Studio (Disha Bhavsar & Shivani Ajmera), Red Architects (Rajiv Parekh, Ekta Parekh, Maithili Raut), Rohit Bhoite House of Design (Rohit Bhoite), Sona Reddy Studio (Sona Reddy), Spaces & Design (Pooja Bihani), Spaces + Objects (Sanjyt Syngh), Studio Design Inc (Khusboo & Kunal Khandelwal), Studio Nishita Kamdar (Nishita Kamdar), SumesshMenon Associates (Sumessh Menon), Talati & Partners LLP (Amit Surve), and The BNKGroup (Behzad Kharas) —all with one brief: provoke, inspire, and redefine what a design showcase can be.
In the words of architect Pooja Bihani of Spaces & Design, “Design POV immediately resonated with me for its immersive, experience-driven approach. It’s not just a showcase but a dialogue between design, business, and innovation. The idea of walking through a designer’s thought process rather than just observing it felt fresh and impactful.”
Where Brands Meet Bold Ideas
Design POV isn’t just for the creatives—it’s for the change-makers of the industry. It’s a stage for India’s most sophisticated home & interior brands to embed themselves within the country’s evolving design vocabulary. Wriver, Colosseum, Sunroof, Swamy Marmo, House of Edwa, House of W, Embellish, Casa Walls, Soch Design Studio, Woven Legacy, Hybec, and Pink Coyote are just a few of the visionary names that will be participating and partnering with the Core design firms.
For brands, this is a rare opportunity to go beyond exhibition. It’s about co-creation; about being part of a larger cultural narrative that influences how spaces in India will be built, lived in, and remembered.
Why It Matters
At a time when architecture and design events can feel formulaic, Design POV breaks the mould. It isn’t about filling booths—it’s about engaging minds. It’s immersive, tactile, and unapologetically forward-thinking. It invites designers, brands, and audiences to step into the minds of visionaries, to experience not just the “what” but the “why” behind design decisions.
