Founded by design maverick Krsnaa Mehta, India Circus has long stood out for its unapologetically bold aesthetic—merging Indian heritage with contemporary storytelling. The new store is housed in the iconic Le Press building, a former printing press now transformed into a design-led retail experience that mirrors the brand’s ethos: expressive, eclectic, and rooted in culture.

Since its inception in 2013, India Circus has been ahead of the curve—pioneering online sales in the home decor space and steadily growing its offline presence with 18 stores across India. Its acquisition by Godrej Enterprises in 2018 only accelerated its growth across retail channels.

Why Lucknow, Why Now?

“We were looking for a city that speaks to our core values—heritage, architecture, and the evolving Indian consumer,” says Krsnaa Mehta. “Lucknow made perfect sense.”

While mall spaces were an option, the team was drawn to the historic charm of the Le Press precinct. “This heritage neighbourhood gave us a chance to be part of something more meaningful,” he adds.

A Store That Tells a Story

From arched windows that frame the lush cityscape to intricately styled nooks that showcase the brand’s signature prints, every corner of the store is designed as an immersive experience.

Beyond home decor staples like wallpapers, cushion covers, rugs, wall art, and dinnerware, the brand’s foray into apparel and accessories offers something fresh for India Circus loyalists.

And there’s more to come. “The next few months will see exciting store launches across the country,” teases Mehta, “and we can’t wait to show you what’s next.”
