The Madrid Design Festival is already underway, followed by Salone del Mobile in Milan, the London Design Biennale, and the Venice Biennale. Madrid Design Festival: A City Transformed
The Madrid Design Festival is back in 2025 with an all-encompassing programme that interconnects design within the cultural framework of the city. Running from 6 February to 15 March 2025, this edition focuses heavily on multidisciplinary approaches in architecture, interior design, fashion, and digital media. The central theme for this year will be “Design for Social Good,” representing a trend toward the impact of creativity on society and the environment.
Visitors can expect dynamic plays of exhibitions, workshops, and panel discussions with well-known designers and new voices. The festival keeps on reaffirming its status as Madrid for the rest of the world which is full of innovation in design, and it is also encouraging collaboration between local artisans and global creatives.


Salone del Mobile: The Pinnacle of Design Excellence
The Salone del Mobile is set to return from 8th to 13th April 2025 at Milan’s Rho Fiera fairgrounds.
Celebrated as the premier furniture and interior design fair, it continues to lead in innovation through craftsmanship, advanced technology, and aesthetic excellence. The edition this year, promises to be more exciting, with an increased and expansive perspective focused on ‘sustainable luxury’ and ‘circular design practice’. Many international brands will display newly manufactured collections by considering ecologically sustainable production that ensures neither less comfort nor function and aesthetic quality.
In parallel to the main exhibition, “EuroCucina” and “SaloneSatellite” come back as two milestones: the future of kitchen design and young creative talents. This edition brings with it experimental projects, proposed by a selected group of design studios, that question the established path of furniture design.


London Design Biennale: Designing for Global Change
Set to take place from 5-29 June 2025 at Somerset House, the London Design Biennale is an international stage for debate around design, informed by countries, cities, and territories of the world. This year’s topic is “Remapping Collaborations,” highlighting the potential of design to create new interfaces between disciplines, cultural horizons, and industry sectors.

Venice Biennale: Intelligens – Natural, Artificial, Collective
The Architecture Venice Biennale, from 24 May to 23 November 2025, will explore the issue “Intelligens – Natural, Artificial, Collective.” Curated by architect Carlo Ratti, this edition explores the connectionbetween human intelligence, artificial intelligence, and nature.
The exhibition will showcase how various forms of intelligence—human, technological, or environmental—can initiate creative design by utilizing pavilions, installations, and cross-disciplinary projects. The conferenceprovides a platform for architects, designers, and researchers to sharetheir ideas on re-imagining cities, materials, and digital interfaces amidst unprecedented change.
