Recently I visited a friend’s native home which is a very charming old
home filled to the brim with wonderful prim items. A home which is
a mix of diverse, contemporary artwork with many memorabilia from
travels to make it feel like a truly unique space. While we were driving
back to grind, I thought of having a second home, which will be more
of a weekend escape filled with beautiful views, copious amount of
good food and lazy evening walks. Ah! The entire weekend will be a
long, wonderful dream that I would never want to end.
With so many ideas spinning in my head, I have tried to dedicate
the issue to beautiful homes and amazing destinations across the
world. The private villa in Albania (Pg 112) is a perfect example of
getting outside green and colours inside your abode. The house has
been conceptualised to have minimum room separation so that the
occupants will have more ‘we-time.’
If modern luxury mixed with a touch of retro art is what fascinates
you the most, the team gives you an awesome leisure stay option in
Chattanooga. A stay at The Dwell Hotel (Pg 124) is a kind of getaway
you will not forget.
Last but not the least, there are houses with a very warm feel, even though not yours, you feel at home. I got the similar appeal while going through various homes in Cover Focus (Pg 60). From a relaxing space to verdant landscape and artfully done interiors; each home tells a story of its own.
