Actions speak louder than words. German sanitary ware brand Duravit has launched the Smart Class Program in surrounding villages in Gujarat as part of their CSR initiative to drive overall educational development forward. Asutosh Shah, Managing Director of Duravit India states that their mission is to cover 100 schools through the initiative “The Smart Class Program” of their CSR Program. It essentially aims to benefit underprivileged children.
Duravit recently converted a third school under their smart class program – Shri. L. D. Patel Vidhyavihar, (Moraj Kelavani Mandal Trust), Village : Moraj, Taluka : Tarapur. Over and above, the smart class brand is upgrading one more school named Tarapur Sarvajanik High School (Tarapur Kelavani Mandal), Village : Tarapur with basic facilities like drinking water and clean girls toilet.
Over the years technology has revolutionised throughout the world and has created amazing tools and resources. Duravit believes that in this digitalised era, every child should be well versed with the latest technology. Therefore, a technology integration model in the schools is also chosen that can make learning more fun and impactful. It is Duravit’s ardent belief that such initiatives will become a successful gateway to connect rural students to the global platform and their promising futures.
