“Mirrors, plants, chandeliers and cushions, I feel with just these elements, I can transform almost any space as they induce life for me,” says interior stylist Rubina Dhankar. Based in Gurgaon, she recently revamped a casual toned house into a brilliant living space. While restyling a house, the major challenge is to imbue the familial warmth also keeping it stylish and welcoming.
The 20 x 20 feet spacious living and dining space, before the revamp, had two sofas, two chairs, a center table, one dinning table and one wooden board shelf partition that separated the dining and the drawing area. “The brief was simple – to design a space that the owners will fall in love with,” says the interior stylist. The use of classic elements like ikat chairs, victorian photo frames, a quintessential chandelier and metal
flowers escalated the look of the space.
The yellow chairs and metallic elements on the table add a pop of colour, while the colourful upholstery compliments the off white walls. Rubina also added hints of greenery to the home in the form of five big palms and five smaller indoor plants. Her creative sensibilities combined with a givingheart resulted in a beautiful home.
