Keeping your house and all the items that are lying around clean is a very rewarding experience; especially if you’ve had a very stressful day. However, sometimes it becomes a challenge. In fact, most of the time, cleaning up may become a painful task that just drags on and on because there is something or the other that needs to be cleaned.
It’s not at all mandatory that you should attend to all the tasks at one go. If you can manage one task a day, things get sorted out themselves. Make a list of ‘to do things today’. If you have a space management calendar then write the day’s work accordingly, so easier tasks are on days where your day is really hectic, and reserve the more difficult tasks for days when things are a little lighter.
Make a bold statement. The seemingly mundane task of keeping your house clean becomes a daunting challenge that might leave you begging for daily divine intervention if there are little monsters (kids) running rampant all over the house. You can try and limit the damage by assigning specific areas to your kids to conduct their cleaning campaigns.
This will somewhat relieve you of some cleaning tasks. Make use of a hand-held vacuum cleaner, which you can just pick up and use anytime for the odd cleaning jobs. It will also be extremely efficient to deal with the hair strands that fall all over the place from pets like dogs or cats. Plus, it will suck in the dust that settles on the carpet and the corners of your sofa and chairs. Finally, staying organised will keep your home clean and actually make your task easier when you’re in dire need to clean up.
